Whey Pure Y3 Yeast

Specifically selected for whey fermentations WHEY PURE Y3 yeast is the highest yielding yeast product in the industry due to it’s ability to use lactose and galactose and capable of reaching 12% ABV plus.

It creates a neutral vodka style spirit with a pleasant creamy/dairy nuance from whey, whey permeate or powdered lactose.

Whey Pure N3 Nutrient + Buffering

Specifically formulated for fermentation with whey and whey permeate or whey combined with other sugars such as lactose, sucrose or glucose, WHEY PURE N3 nutrient + Buffering is a complete nutritional support for your yeast.

How to make 1000L of Whey wash using the “Whey Pure” product combination.

 

Method

  1. For fermentations using straight Whey and whey permeate targeting abv's around 6%v/v: add 1.5kg of Whey Pure N3 to cooled whey permeate ≤32°C. DO NOT BOIL THIS NUTRIENT. Dissolve, mix then add the rehydrated Whey Pure Y3 yeast. Ferment at 30-32°C ( Temp controlled with cooling).

    Note: No addition of Lactase Enzyme is needed.

  2. Take gravity readings every 24h to monitor the fermentation.

  3. For best results Distill using a copper pot still or a still with plenty of copper contact with the vapour phase.
